What are Skill Tags?

Skill Tags are a tool that allow employees to flag useful skills they have that don’t directly apply to their job role.

For example a Customer Service agent might not have the job requirement to speak a second language, such as Spanish, but if their team occasionally fielded Spanish language calls an employee may want to indicate to their manager that they have this skill set.

Skill tags allow an employee to do so proactively on their Namely HCM Profile.
Skill tags can be set to either allow for employees to create their own as they see fit or select from a pre-existing pool of skill tags.

Additionally, skill tags can be reported on using a general “profile report”.
