Reports and Exports for Performance Reviews

Provides an overview of the reporting options available to track Performance Management in Namely.

REPORTING TOOL

Our Reporting Tool offers a number of report types that will help you report on your company's performance reviews. We'll be focusing on five different review types in this article: Goal, Review Answer, Reviewer, Performance and Competency.

To run one of these reports:

  1. Click Reporting (under Admin Tools) from your Namely homepage. You'll be brought to a page that stores all past reports you've created:

  1. Click Create New Report.

  2. Make the appropriate selection from the Select Report Type column:

GOAL REPORT

There are two different Goal report templates in the reporting tool - Goal Default and Goal Age. 

GOAL DEFAULT

This report type is used to report on company, team and individual goals. It's useful if you'd like to review the goals different groups of employees have set for themselves.

Common Use Cases:

  • Reviewing goals set by different teams.

  • Tracking the progress made on goals.

  • Reviewing goal weights.

Default Fields:

  • Goal Name, Description

Available Fields:

  • Employee name, Employee first name, Employee last name, Employee email, Employee reports to name, Employee reports to email, Employee reports to job title, Employee start date, Employee job title, Employee job type, Office location, Employee current performance, Group/team alignment, Company goal alignment, Team name, Group name, Name, Type, Description, Status, Set date, Set date (days since), Target date, Target date (days until), Completed date, Progress, Weight, Subgoals, Tag, Departments, Division

GOAL AGE

This report type is not customizable and is intended to see the number of days since a goal was set and a number of days until the target date is reached.

Common Use Case:

  • Reviewing how much time is left to complete a goal.

REVIEW ANSWER REPORT

This report type allows you to review questions and answers from reviews in a report. 

Common Use Case:

  • Review questions and answers from review cycles for different types of reviews (can filter by label.)

  • Review questions and answers filtered by department, division or office location.

Default Fields:

  • Reviewer Name, Question Type, Rating, Text

Available Fields

  • Employee name, Employee email, Departments, Division, Office Location, Reviewer name, Review status, Review label, Rating, Text, Comment, Due date, Completed date, Question scope, Question type, Question weight, Question text, Goal name, Goal description, Goal weight, Competency trait, Competency, Competency category

REVIEWER REPORT

This report type allows you to report on the status of a reviewer's review. It is only available to users in the Administrator access role.

Common Use Cases:

  • Review writer due dates

  • Review administrative due dates

  • Review the status of a reviewer's review

Default Fields:

  • Review Name, Review Status

Available Fields:

  • Reviewer name, Reviewer email, Reviewer job title, Reviewer status, Employee name, Employee email, Employee job title, Employee status, Employee start date, Self review, Departments, Division, Office location, Reports to full name, Reports to email, Reports to job title, Review status, Review label, Overall due date, Employee due date, Writer due date, Nominator due date, Administration due date, Approval due date, Signature due date, Performance rating

PERFORMANCE REPORT

This report type allows you to report on performance ratings.

Common Use Cases:

  • Review historical rating trends

  • Review ratings by departments, divisions or office location

  • Review ratings by job title

Default Fields:

  • Full Name, Rating

Available Fields:

  • Full name, Email, Job title, Office location, User status, Start date, Departments, Division, Office location, Rating, Note, Date

COMPETENCY REPORT

This report type allows you to report on competencies available.

Common Use Cases:

  • High-level overview of the competencies you've established in Namely.

Default Fields:

  • Name, Category

Available Fields:

  • Trait, Name, Category

SKILL TAGS

To pull a report on employee Skill Tags:

  1. Click Reporting from your Namely homepage.

  2. Select Profile and Profile Default from the dropdown.

  3. Click Create Report.

  4. Click Edit Columns.

  5. Click on Skill Tags from the list of options.

COMPANY REPORTS

A high level overview of your company's Performance Level is available on the Company Reports page in Namely, accessed by clicking Company > Reports > Performance Level.

This graph charts all historical performance ratings captured in Namely. This report cannot be exported and is intended to be a high level glance at historical performance ratings. 

EXPORTING REVIEWS

You can export data from your performance reviews into .csv files from the Review Cycle Dashboard in Namely.

Exporting reviews

You can export reviews by cycle, or filter the review content you'd like included in your .csv by a number of parameters. Exported Reviews are available for download by going to Performance > Export Reviews (under Admin Tools.)

EXPORTING REVIEW CYCLES

To export all reviews from a specific Review Cycle:

  1. Click Performance from your Namely homepage.

  2. Click Review Cycles under Admin Tools.

  3. Click the Export icon under Actions for the review you'd like to export.

Note: Only Active Review cycles can be exported.

  1. Next, you'll be taken to the Export Reviews page. You'll note that your export will appear at the top of the list and will be processing. Once the export file has processed, click the Download icon to download your .csv.

EXPORTING FILTERED REVIEWS 

You also have the ability to export reviews based on filters. This allows you to export reviews from different cycles. Some examples of filtered exports include:

  • All reviews about an employee.

  • All reviews with the same Review Label - i.e. all "Annual Reviews" or all "Quarterly Check Ins"

  • All reviews for employees in a Department.

  • All reviews for High Performers.

If you'd like to export reviews contained within different review cycles:

  1. Click Filter Results from the Performance Management page. The filters you apply here will determine the data that will be contained on your export. 

  • Filter options: Name, Team, Title, Labels, Review Cycles, Performances, Statuses, Departments, Divisions, Office Locations.

  1. Select your filters and click Filter.

  2. Click Export.

  1. Next, you'll be prompted to name your review export, so you can identify it later. Once the export is complete, click Export Reviews to download your .csv, as detailed above.
