What kinds of payroll taxes may trigger Tax Variance notices?

Tax Variance notices will be generated based on discrepancies in payroll taxes owed v. payroll taxes paid.

Common types of payroll taxes (which may generate Tax Variance notices) include:

• Withholding tax, including federal withholding, state withholding, FICA (i.e. social security and medicare)

• Unemployment tax - FUTA, SUI

• Other agency taxes - SDI
