What do I need to do if I have an employee working or living in a new state?

If you have an employee who needs to be taxed in a new state, our State Tax Registration Guide from Namely Toolkit: Tax Services will provide you with links to each state's website to register for all applicable taxes.

Generally speaking, you will apply for a state tax ID online, and once received, enter the information in Namely Payroll. Click Company and then Tax to enter your new tax IDs. Once the ID is entered and changes are saved, Namely can remit and file taxes for the agency.
