W-2cs in Namely Payroll

W-2cs will be uploaded to Namely Payroll going forward, replacing our old process of uploading them to Support Files in HRIS.

BACKGROUND

A W-2c is the form that is issued as a correction to a W-2, the IRS' Wage and Tax Statement, used by individuals to file their taxes. In the past, Namely has uploaded requested Form W-2cs to Support Files in HRIS, but that process is changing, and they'll be available in Namely Payroll going forward.

NEXT STEPS

Any Form W-2cs that your company requests will now be available in Namely Payroll, by going to Reports > Quarterly & Year End. Select the appropriate tax year and Annual as the duration.

Once those filters are applied, you'll be able to download W-2cs individually or in a bulk PDF. You can then safely distribute the W-2c forms to your employees

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will W-2cs still be uploaded to Support Files in HCM?

No. Moving forward, all W-2cs will be uploaded to the Reports > Quarterly & Year End page in Namely Payroll upon completion.

 

How do I request a Form W-2c for one of my employees?

How long does it take to produce a form W-2c?

W-2cs can take up to three weeks to be created and filed. Namely will begin working on W-2cs on February 1, 2021. You can track the status of your case by clicking Contact Us > View Your Cases in the Help Community.
