Setting up TPA authorization for MA State Unemployment Insurance

An overview on how to set up third-party administrator authorization for the Massachusetts State Unemployment Insurance.

  1. Login to your Commonwealth of Massachusetts online services account. 

    • If you don’t have the login credentials, you will need to utilize one of the following functions

      • Employer Registration

      • Returning Employer

      • Account Activation

      • Forgot Password

  2. Select Account Maintenance located on the left pane or the middle of the page. 

  3. Select Third Party Administrator (TPA) Authorization.

  4. At the bottom of the page select New to bring you to Assign Third Party Administrator.

  5. Enter 104097 (this is Namely’s TPA ID) in the TPA ID field and select Next.

  6. Review the following fields for accuracy

    • Effective Begin Date: Should be the present date and have no Effective End Date specified

    • Available Roles: The following fields are selected

      • Account Maintenance View Only

      • Tax Payment Update and Submit

      • Wage Detail Update and Submit

  7. Click Save.

  8.  Submit a case in our Help Community with the taxonomy Payroll > Tax Services > Tax ID/TPA and indicate the completion of the MA SUI TPA authorization within the ticket. Our team will review and verify the results of the authorization.
