Deactivating Hour Benefit Types

How to deactivate Hour Benefit Types in Namely.

You can deactivate hour benefit types that aren’t currently being used on your Namely site.

To deactivate an hour benefit type:

1. In Namely Payroll, click Company.

2. Click Hour Benefit Types.

3. Click Edit next to the hour benefit type you want to deactivate.

• Note: You can’t deactivate Regular, Overtime, and Other hour types.

4. Deselect the Active checkbox.

5. Click Save.

 

Note: You cannot deactivate an hour benefit while you have an open payroll with an employee who has hours earned on the deactivated benefit. If you do, you’ll receive an error when you attempt to reenter the payroll. To continue, you must either reactivate the hour benefit or reset the payroll. To avoid this error, deactivate hour benefits before you start a payroll run.
