FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions we received from you during the webinar session on March 17.
Custom Reports
Will custom fields be available in custom reports?
Later this year, we plan to start working on adding custom fields to Custom Reports. We do not have a planned release date yet though.
Will custom reporting have a point-in-time feature?
Later this year, we will be working on a project to scope out adding point-in-time (PIT) functionality in Custom Reports which will allow users to pull information as of a certain date.
Does audit reporting reflect the effective date of the change?
Audit reporting will reflect the time the change was made. However, if an attribute contains an effective date such as compensation, it will show changes made to that effective date each time it was edited.
Are custom fields or bank information available to be included in audit reporting?
Custom fields are not yet auditable, it is something we plan to work on this year. In Q2, banking information will be auditable.
Will any other HR reports be added to custom reports?
Yes! We do plan on migrating all HR report types from HR reporting to Custom Reports. This will most likely occur after this year since we plan to focus on finishing adding more data to auditing and profile reporting first.
401k Deductions
Is the match for 401K a combined 401K and Roth match or are they matched separately?
They are matched separately and you will need to set up a match for each deduction on the company level.
With the new 401k setups, how do we set a cap if an employee has a 401k and Roth setup?
You will need to set up a match on each deduction, one for 401k and one for Roth. Our upcoming custom tiers release will be able to accommodate this by the percentage of employee wages, as well. Additionally, matching across different deductions will be coming later this year.
Onboarding
Will there be any updates to Resources, such as being able to create subfolders, this year?
Updates to the resources section are not currently planned for 2022, however, we are exploring the possibility of adding sub-folders specifically. We cannot say a specific timeline quite yet.
Will onboarding sessions be able to be archived or sorted out once they are completed?
The onboarding dashboard will be sortable and filterable initially, later we will be adding an archive view.
Personal Profile
Will this release be pushed automatically or do we have to elect this new view?
The new profile view will be pushed to you in April. No need to opt-in.
Where on the profile will others be able to see an employee's preferred pronouns?
Right now they will be visible on the profile body (given that the user has permission to see them) but we also plan to make an update to give the option to make them visible on the profile header.
We currently include pronouns in our profiles in a custom field, will this information migrate to the new standard fields when this rolls out?
This information will not automatically be migrated to the new fields, if you'd like to use the new Namely fields we recommend running a report with the existing information and then importing it into the new field.
Will this new profile view impact any workflows currently in place?
No, it will not.
