The Work Number database from Equifax delivers an automated verification service that helps streamline the transfer of information between employers and verifiers, ultimately benefiting the employees by creating an accelerated decision process.
This service securely and instantly delivers income and employment confirmations to lenders and government agencies using employee information stored in Namely. Please feel free to use this service when employees are:

Buying or refinancing a home

Renting property

Purchasing a vehicle

Applying for a loan or credit

Qualifying for government benefits
This no-cost service will be automatically available to our beta clients starting the week of November 1, 2020, and to all clients in the beginning of 2021. HCM + Payroll clients will be offered Verification of Employment (VOE) and Verification of Income (VOI) services, and our HCM Only clients will be offered Verification of Employment (VOE) services only.

What are the services we will be offering to our clients as a result of this partnership?
We will be offering both Verification of Employment (VOE) and Verification of Income (VOI). Please note, if you do not subscribe to Namely Payroll, VOI will not be available to your organization.
What is the charge associated with their services for clients?
There will be no charge to our clients for these new services.
Will there be any front-end changes in Namely?
No. The entire integration will be completed behind the scenes and does not require any additional work or adoption by clients or their employees.
If someone needs proof of employment or income for one of my employees, what do I do?
If a banker, property manager, car dealer or caseworker asks you how much money your employee makes or to prove where they work, please advise them to go to www.theworknumber.com or to call (800) 367-5690 (Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (ET)).
Do employees need to do anything in Namely to receive a Verification of Employment (VOE) or Verification of Income (VOI)?
No. The process of receiving a VOE and/or VOI does not involve any interaction with the Namely platform. When creditors are requesting a VOE and/or VOI, the creditor will reach out to The Work Number directly.
How can my employees review their own data?
Your employees can review, download, and dispute their own data via the Employment Data Report from the Work Number.

Can I opt in to these services now, and opt out at a later time?
Yes. Your organization may opt in to these services now, and opt out at any time.

How often is data pulled from Namely and shared with Equifax?
Data is pulled once per week from Namely.
Can we opt in only selected employees, and opt out others?
No. All employees are included if your organization opts in to using The Work Number.
If we subscribe to Namely Payroll, can we opt out of VOE services and opt out of VOI services (or vice versa)?
No. If you subscribe to Namely Payroll, and you opt in to using The Work Number, you will be opted in to both VOI and VOE services.
Will we receive a notification if an employee verification request is made?
No. Notifications will not be sent if an employee VOI or VOE request is made, as no action should be required from you for the request.
How far back does the employment history go for employees?
Employment history from 2018 and onward syncs to the Work Number. Any employment history for employees who were terminated before 2018 will not sync.
If Equifax has directed me to update the contact phone number, where do I make this change?
Make updates to the mobile phone number on your Namely HRIS profile. This action is only available for trusted contacts.
