What is SAML Metadata?

• The Metadata endpoint is a URL that Namely provides that allows IdPs to retrieve information about how to send users back to Namely.

• It contains information like "After successful login, send the user back to this URL."

• This is commonly used by companies setting up ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services).

• If a client asks a question around the lines of "configuration endpoint" or "metadata endpoint," this is what they are talking about.
