FAQ
Below you can find answers to questions that were asked by attendees over the course of the webinar.
Is there a guide that has details on each access role permissions?
Yes. You can find the definitions for each permission in our article Definitions of Access of Role Permissions
Can we get an export of our field grid to aid in our access role clean up?
This is not currently available in the platform, but we will share your feedback with our product team. The subject matter experts on our Project Services team can provide assistance cleaning up your access roles—webinar attendees receive 15% off their project request.
Why are the access roles not the column headers on the Field Grid page?
An access role can have more than one field group bundle assigned to it and therefore the headers would differ. For example, the Basic All column applies to every access role, as well as the Basic Read Self, Basic Edit Self and Basic Request Self. This allows for further customization within access roles. You can rename the headers on the initial field group bundles page if needed.
Can you apply the basic request self to banking information?
At this time, employees are unable to request a change to their banking information via a workflow. If the edit button is checked off in the appropriate column, they will be able to update it for themselves.
In field group bundle permission - why does it show view, edit, request for each of the view, edit request areas?
Every bundle (shown as a column on the field group bundle grid) can be set up to allow read access, edit access, or request access, or a combination of the three. The title of the column does not automatically set up the column with any permissions. Instead, within Company > Roles and Permissions, you can set up each bundle with the permissions you’d like it to have. Namely set up columns to work a certain way by default, and you have the ability to adjust them at any time.
