On May 1, 2023, Namely will update the SCIM API used for the Okta/SSO integrations. This update will ensure that the permissions of the token user are respected with the SCIM API. For instance, if a token user cannot see certain fields in an employee’s profile in Namely, they will not be able to see them in the SCIM API either. Additionally, you will have the option to exclude pending employees from the API.
With this update, we want to take the proper steps to ensure there are no disruptions to your business operations. We recommend taking the following steps from one of the two options below to ensure the integration continues to work as intended:
Option 1: Update your token users’ access roles to Administrator to ensure that your Okta integration works as expected when we release this update.
Option 2: Go to the SCIM API and review the fields available there. Then, go to each token user’s access roles and field group bundles to ensure that they have access to all the fields required for your integration.
