New Payroll Permissions in Custom Reports

Our latest release aligns Custom Reports with your organization’s Payroll roles and permissions.

Interested in giving your organization’s non-admin users access to custom reporting, while also ensuring their access is limited to specific data? Now you can offer access to Custom Reports to more users with our latest release, which aligns permissions in Namely Payroll to the custom reports you create in Namely HCM.

With this update, payroll administrators using Custom Reports can
only see data aligned with their Payroll role:

  • Users with Namely’s Custom Reports Administrator permission are able to access Payroll Register and Benefit Change reports only if they are registered as a payroll administrator.

  • Additionally, access to the Payroll Register and Benefit Change reports can be granted without additional access to all Custom Reports by using Can Access Payroll Register Data for Custom Reports and/or Can Access Benefit Changes in Custom Reports permissions.

  • Access to custom reporting data in Namely HCM is limited to the subsidiary and pay groups that users have been given permission to view in Payroll.

Note that Custom Reports does not respect field group bundle permissions and that a user may be able to see profile data in Custom Reports they would not otherwise be able to based on their field group bundle permissions. For more information, see Field Group Bundle Permissions.

With this update, admins can also access payroll register data for all EINs they are permitted to view in a single report, making Custom Reports more powerful than ever!
