How will qualifiers with tenure affect January 1st renewal plans?
If the employee has an anniversary mid-year and is awarded a certain amount of additional accrual time on a January 1st time off plan, the employee will receive a prorated version of the extra time earned.
For example, if the qualifier allows the employee to earn 12 extra hours after their 2nd anniversary. If an employee had their 2nd anniversary on July 1st, the employee will only accrue 5 additional hours for the remainder of the year. They will receive the outstanding 7 accrual hours during the next year before their 3rd anniversary.
