Company Classes in Namely

Company Classes can now be created and edited from your HCM site.

As part of our commitment to better unify our HR and payroll services, all classes at the company-level will now be managed in HCM.

• Note: Classes are only enabled on sites that use Namely for payroll and/or benefits.

Configuration

• Previously, classes were created and managed by going to Payroll > Company > Class.

• Now, classes are created and managed by going to HCM > Company > Settings > Class.

Multi-EIN Companies

• Previously, each payroll company had its own unique set of classes.

• Now, all subsidiaries will share a library of classes that is created in HCM > Company > Class.

Employee Assignment of Classes

• There are no changes being made to how you assign a class to an employee. Classes are still assigned on an employee’s Demographic tab on their payroll profile.
