Will using the "Like” function on the newsfeed trigger any notifications?

No- the "Like" function will nottrigger any notifications for the original or subsequent posters. 

If you need to trigger a notification around a post, you will need to add a comment and use the "@" function, inserting "@[recipient's name]" into your response.
