How do I pay my employees for the new sick leave or family medical leave?

Namely has been monitoring recent legislations and has engineered new codes that comply with the new laws. These codes will respect the annual limits mandated by the Federal Government and will not collect the employer-paid portion of Social Security taxes.

These codes are available now for you to use and they are referred to as:

• Federal Paid Medical Leave (type 1 through 3)

  • This pay code must be used until March 31, 2021

• Federal Paid Medical Leave (type 4 through 6)

  • This pay code must be used until March 31, 2021

• Federal Paid Family Leave

• ARPA Federal Paid Medical Leave - Tier 1

  • This pay code must be used for the ARPA extension from April 1 to September 30, 2021

• ARPA Federal Paid Medical Leave - Tier 2

  • This pay code must be used for the ARPA extension from April 1 to September 30, 2021

TIP:

All ARPA earnings must be listed on a separate check to avoid miscalculations.
