How do I make an employee exempt from their federal withholdings on their electronic W-4?

To mark an employee as Federal Exempt on their profile:

  1. In Namely Payroll, click Employee.

  2. Search for the employee's name or select it from the employee list.

  3. Click Tax.

  4. Scroll down to the Withholding section.

  5. Next to the Federal column, click Modify.

  6. In the Suppress Base Calculation - Federal section, select the option for Suppress > Save.
