How do I delete an employee profile in Namely Time?
Because Namely Time is administered by our time partners at Timeclock Plus, a ticket must be submitted in order for an employee profile to be deleted from the time system. If an employee's termination date is greater than 30 days in the past, a case must be created for Timeclock Plus to delete the profile from Namely Time.
**We do not recommend deleting any employee profile in the Namely Time system. Deleting anything in the system, especially employees, will delete and purge all their records and data as well. This action could negatively affect your database. Instead, we highly recommend terminating or suspending the profile in HRIS which will then sync to Namely Time, or manually suspending the employee profile in Namely Time.**
If an employee's termination date is less than 30 days, you must submit a ticket using the taxonomy Time + Attendance > Namely Time through our Help Community to delete the profile from the time system. In your ticket please include the following information:
-
Name
-
Namely Time ID (if applicable)
-
Reason the profile needs to be deleted
-
If the profile is a duplicate, please verify which profile the worked hours should be associated with.
-
Once Timeclock Plus deletes a profile, it cannot be reactivated.
If an employee's termination date is greater than 30 days, a case must be created within Timeclock Plus to delete the profile from Namely Time.
You can also place a termination date on a profile in Namely Time which will remove the profile from active status. Refer to our article Terminating or Suspending an Employee in Namely Time for information on how to set a termination date.
