How do I clear a Profile Status Error to allow an employee to flow into Payroll?

If you are receiving a Profile Status Error when attempting to run a Payroll, it may be because of a missing or invalid field. The list below can be used to troubleshoot your error.

  • Ensure the company email does not have any spaces before or after.

  • Ensure the Gender field is selected for either Male or FemaleNot Specified will not be accepted for benefits purposes. (You do have the option to create a preferred gender field. Please see our article on Configuring Profile Fields for guidance).

  • Delete and re-enter the employee’s SSN without dashes (-). Namely automatically enters the dash for you.

  • Ensure the Marital Status field is completed.

  • Ensure the Ethnicity field is completed.

  • Check that all phone numbers are exactly 10 digits. Fitting the 555-555-5555 format.

  • Confirm that the home address has a Country (United States) and State.
