How do Admins configure company wide notifications for Time-Off?

CONFIGURING TIME-OFF NOTIFICATIONS

Admins can customize the types of notifications when Time Off is requested or altered. 

To change your notification settings:

  1. Select Company > Settings > Notifications.

  2. Select the checkboxes next to the time-off events you want to receive notifications for.

For the Recipients of each request, you have three options.

  • Direct Manager Only: Only the requester's manager, as configured in Namely, will have access.

  • Everyone with Permission: Anyone with the correctly configured Scoped Permission. For more information on Scoped Permissions and how they can be leveraged please read our article Scoped Permissions.

  • Entire Reporting Tree: Anyone within the requester's reporting tree. An employee's reporting tree can be viewed by going to People > Org Chart.

TIP:

Employees can select the kind of notifications they receive by clicking the drop-down menu in the top navigation of Namely with their picture in it (next to the notification bell) and selecting Settings. You can make adjustments to individual employee notification settings by "Viewing As" them and navigating to this page to make changes.
