How can I provide access to Namely Payroll for a third party broker?

The Manage Payroll button will only work if a user has an HRIS profile linked to a Namely Payroll profile. A list of required fields to initiate an HRIS/Payroll sync can be found here: Adding a New Employee to Namely Payroll

Third party administrators are generally not employees, so they typically do not have an HRIS profile. They can still access Namely Payroll, by following these steps:

  1. Add the User as an administrator in Namely Payroll.

  • Click Company and then Users.

  • Add the Third party administrator, leveraging their e-mail address.

  • You'll want to assign them the appropriate permission set. A list of what permissions each role in Namely Payroll has can be found here: What User Roles are available in Namely Payroll?

  1. The user can now login to Manage Payroll by logging in from NamelyPayroll.com.

  • They'll need to set up their password first! This can be done by instructing the user to enter their e-mail address in the User Name field and click Reset Password. This will prompt them to create a password to login.

  • Going forward, they'll login to manage payroll from NamelyPayroll.com, using their e-mail address and the password they select.
