Using Namely Time to Identify Full-Time Employees for ACA Reporting

This article will direct you to a report in Namely Time that will help you validate whether employees qualify as full-time or part-time employees for the purpose of ACA reporting.

OVERVIEW

Employers with fifty or more full-time employees (or Full-Time Equivalent employees) qualify as Applicable Large Employers (ALEs) and must meet certain ACA Reporting requirements to be in compliance. You should consult with your Managed Benefits team or third-party broker to confirm your status, but Namely Time can help you isolate the data points needed to make this determination in your consultation with your broker.

NAMELY TIME REPORTING

If you use Namely Time, you can use its reporting tool to pull a report of all hours on employees' timecards that may qualify them for full-time status, for the purpose of ACA reporting. This data can be used in conjunction with an employee's Employee Type designation on their Namely profile.

To pull this report from Namely Time:

  1. Go to Namely Time

  2. Click Reports > Period Reports > Benefit Status > Measurement Period

This report will pull hours worked on all job codes where the Include in Benefit Status box has been checked (under Namely Time > Configuration > Job Codes > Information.)
