ACA Demographic Report

This article outlines the use case for the ACA Demographic Report in Namely Payroll.

OVERVIEW

A critical component of successful ACA Reporting is accurate employee Demographic information. Employee demographic information should be updated whenever an employee has a change in benefits class eligibility. These resources advise on managing Class in Namely:

ACA Reporting requires companies to report on Class assignments, and any class changes an employee has undergone during the calendar year. The ACA Demographic Report captures class changes in a given date range. 

PULLING THE ACA DEMOGRAPHIC REPORT

To pull the ACA Demographic Report:

  1. In Namely Payroll, click Reports.

  2. Select Date Range.

  3. Apply the desired date range using the period filter (you'll want to view an Annual range for ACA Reporting.) 

  4. Click ACA Demographic Report (under Microsoft Excel Reports.)

Data Points on the Report

  • Employee ID

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Class Name

  • Hire Date

  • Termination Date

  • Demo Start Date

  • Demo End Date
