Using the Paycheck Calculator
You can use the Paycheck Calculator to do the following:

Create a check for calculation

Sending a check for calculation

Viewing calculations
Creating a check for calculation
You should run the following procedure for each check that you need to calculate.
To open the Paycheck Calculator, click the Payroll list from the CertiPay home page, and select Paycheck Calculator.
Click the Create Check link to open the Add a New Paycheck for Calculation window.
Select the employee or the employee number, from either the Employee or Employee # list.
Click the Employee or Employee # list, and locate the employee. From the Standard Earnings and Deductions to Add field, ensure that Regular or the appropriate session is selected, and then click Add.
Update the following tabs on the Paycheck Calculator window, and click the Verify link.
General Info |
Change the Federal Withholding Options or Frequency for the check. |
Earnings |
The check populates any earnings set to Auto Post on the employee profile. Delete, add, or edit earnings, as needed. |
Deductions |
The check populates will all deductions listed on the employee profile. Delete, add, or edit deductions, as needed. |
A message confirming that the check has been verified is displayed. Click OK.
Sending a check for calculation
From the Payroll Calculator, click the Preview list and Calculate Manual Checks.
Once complete, a control displays indicating whether or not the calculations were calculated correctly.
Exit out of the CertiPay Communicator.
View calculation
You will then need to go into the Manual Checks Tab under payroll:
Then at the top of the screen you will click on Add Calculated Paychecks:
Once you do this a box will pop up and it will have the Employees name and check net amount. You will press add and it will populate in the Manual check tab with the taxes in the deduction:
This is where you can fill out the Check number as well as changed the Period Begin and End:
If your employee needs a Paycheck stub for this manual check you can press the Print Stub Only button after you verify your check:
To not record the calculated check as a manual check, click the Delete Check link.
When finished, click Close.
